A device only enters a ranking here if I have used it myself, and nothing gets ranked on a spec sheet.
That makes these lists shorter than most, and more honest: I would rather compare four devices I have lived with than rank fourteen I have only read about.
The comparison tables go wider than the rankings. They carry the Proof audit for devices I have never touched, because a brand refusing to publish its irradiance is worth knowing before you spend, whether or not I have tested that model. Untested devices are labeled as such and stay out of the order.
Rankings are always inside one category, because an LED mask and an IPL device do not compare: the expected results, the levels of evidence, the risks and the timelines have nothing in common.
